Established in 1985 by a group of citizens desiring to meet the needs of individuals with disabilities, the Florida Institute for Workforce Innovation (FIWI) is a private not for profit corporation that has been in continuous operation since its inception. Originally formed in the Florida Keys to serve individuals with disabilities facing barriers to employment and self sufficiency, FIWI has evolved over time to provide supports and services that greatly enhance the ability of individuals from all walks of life to overcome obstacles in their path to independence. Over the past 23 years FIWI has successfully served communities throughout the State of Florida achieving positive outcomes for the customers we serve.
FIWI delivers workforce training and economic development strategies emphasizing individual dignity through a holistic approach. The FIWI team prides itself in its ability to develop program designs that are flexible and responsive to the ever changing needs of the day. FIWI is a mission driven organization that is small enough to be responsive to our customers' needs and experienced enough to perform at the highest level utilizing best practices we have developed over the past two decades.
